Please note: This program may not be the best fit for those who prefer not to engage in studying, online learning, or attending coaching sessions. Active participation is essential, as the interactive process is key to refining your skills and ensuring long-term success.
To make sure you’re the right fit for this program, please read on:
Confidence In The Air Signature Program
If you have over 7 years of corporate cabin experience, this particular program may not be suited for you. For seasoned professionals, I recommend 1:1 coaching instead, where I can tailor every element to your unique needs and current stage in your career as an experienced CFA.
That said, for those earlier in their journey, or those returning to the skies with renewed focus, this course offers:
A self-study structure for flexibility
Six months of live, highly personalised group support
Access to a private WhatsApp support group—a positive, uplifting space of possibility where I check in weekly to answer questions between sessions
And as a pay-in-full bonus, a 1:1 coaching session (1 hour) to dive deeper into your specific goals and give you personalised guidance from the get-go
Nail Your Interviews Program
This one is a gem for both new and experienced CFAs—whether you’re just starting out or you’ve already clocked up thousands of flying hours. The focus here is on positioning yourself to stand out in interviews, no matter your level of experience.
Welcome!! I'm so delighted you're here and trust me, there's a fair but to learn but you will gain so much insightful knowledge and feel so different, far more confident in the months to come.
We are layering your learning here; at the end of each module (except for the cleaning) there is a quiz to test your knowledge. Please take these at the end of each module as this is the easiest way to layer your learnings.
At around the 6 week mark, you will be emailed a case study to complete that I will mark for you, and then you will receive your CPD accreditation.
Remember, you can comment on any of the lessons and also attend the live coaching sessions to have your questions answered and personalised to you. Anything and everything, please make use of these sessions every step of the way as they are key to your success too.
So much love to you and I can't wait to see you succeed. Be kind to yourself as you go, at times it not always easy but for sure, this industry is a very worthwhile journey and I can't wait to share it all with you.
Welcome to this module, all about the stages of flight and how to navigate yur planning and service!
Before starting this module please watch this video here :)
This module is to give you a really good overview of how your flight will flow; we are not focusing on your catering yet, but it shows you the pre-planning stage of it and how to manage it into the flight itself. (The next module we deep dive into all things catering).
The flight stages start from before your flight (planning stage) right up until the cleaning starts (there's a separate cleaning lesson at the end of the course).
In this module are checklists & step by step walkthrough guides so you can familiarise yourself with the flow of the stages & thus not forget anything when preparing for your flight from the outset. The things that are important to remember are all listed in here. You can download these or open up on your phone if needed for work.
I'd start with the cabin walkthrough videos so you can see a typical cabin you might be dealing with (incase you're not familiar).
CONTENTS of this module:
Flight procedure & pre-preparation - Much of this lesson shows you how to prepare for a short duration flight, meaning you have to prep lots on the ground before the flight.
It's a perfect guide to see how you would run a whole flight from the preparation & planning stage the day before, through to clearing in at the end of the service.
For a long flight, you won't have to do this amount of prep beforehand as you will have more time in the air.
Videos:
Perfect napkins for a short & fast service - This is easy & you can practice at home with a tea towel if don't have a napkin to practise with. It's all about time saving pre-flight so that in flight you can maximise your time for the service.
Creative hot towels - these I learned how to do in a Thailand spa & I make them almost every time. Pax really love them and there's a video too.
In-flight meal service - it includes the options of:
table buffets
Credenza buffets
A La carte
Here we will look at the different types of service you can offer & why one may be better than another.
Flight delays - this is a regular occurrence due to many differing circumstances; in this lesson we cover all your considerations so you are fully prepared.
General flight set up checklist - this guide you can over write to customise any aspect required, but this framework I've written will ensure you remember everything.
It covers cabin set up on boarding / in flight set up / post landing. Keep printed out and handy for when you are setting up the cabin.
Speak soon and enjoy :)
Well done on completing the first module. I hope you have a better understanding of how variuos elements are integrated into the stages of flight. Now, here's the fun stuff!
Here we get to play with the senses:
Taste
Touch
Smell
Sight
Sound
The 6th sense...... although we don't talk about it in this section per se, it's absolutely there and we've built on it from module 1. This is what the client FEELS when they encounter us onboard. Again, the grounding we learned in module 1 is all about how we project the perfect FEELING of calm, home and safety for the client. This is all part of the experience.
We don't necessarily have to engage all of the senses, but choosing 2 or 3 will work incredibly well.
This is the fun, creative element. If you don't deem yourself as having this strength, don't worry, I walk you through the examples of what you can easily create, step by step. Much inspiration here:
Welcome set ups - as the title says, it's what your pax will see when they first board. It's an opportunity to welcome them & make them feel special. Many stunning examples on all different sizes of aircrafts that are easy to put together. Picture & video examples here.
Flowers (partly in welcome set ups but a separate lesson to be uploaded) - I've included many examples here on how to create themes, working with colours & creating continuity which will feel like flow & ease to your pax, giving a feel of 'home'. This is the aim with everything we do in the cabin.Where to source flowers & the various things to consider are also outlined here.
Creating cabin ambience - encouraging you to use the senses here to create an experience which is something they can immerse themselves in & remember. I will show you many easy examples that are my go to.
Freelance flying kit video - The equipment I often take to a jet I've not worked on before; it doesn't cost much & it helps me to be prepared & create something special.
Hope you will truly enjoy this module.
FACT: When we do a grounding technique it marries the two parts of our brain together, creates balance. So if you don't feel particularly creative (this is our right brain), grounding marries together our left (logic / doing) AND right (creativity / being) harmoniously. So grounding will help us be a lot more responsive to both. You will learn this in the final confidence module, so we are layering up your learning.
Hope you enjoy this module!
This is the subject that tends to worry people the most. Before you get started I've recorded a little video here to watch right away :)
Although it's a lot to learn, there are some basics to give you a framework. Also please note, you don't need to know it all.
You have it as a reference for whenever needed.
SUGGESTED QUICK PATHWAY:
I'd say to start off with the first video lesson.
Then do the canva menu tutorial, so you get a good idea as to how to create your menus; this is a wonderful skill to have because it WILL be noticed and got me a job offer when I was freelancing as they noticed it.
Then move through the module on what you would like to learn.
This will all prepare you for when you move onto how to do catering.
TIP: did you know that if you message pilots before a flight to ask what crew food they may like, that they know if you're experienced or not? SO many pilots have said that the inexperienced crew never message them to ask :)
Ok so back to starting the module :) Enjoy
This can be quite overwhelming due to there being so many options, So this module is my attempt to make catering easy.
Please feel free to comment on the lessons to ask any questions.
I've outlined the lessons in a way that would be in the order of things I would do when planning.
Remember, make it easy for yourself.
SUGGESTED EASY / QUICK PATHWAY:
I always like to provide this, so in all honesty, the way I've outlined it will make it easy for you. When starting out, until you gain confidence, I always advise using the short flights made easy framework in this module (in lesson 3) - 2x cold courses / 1x hot, so it makes your preparation easy and quick for you so that you have far more time in the cabin to do your service and be present. As that's important too ;)
No point being stuck in the galley all flight as you've so much hot food to keep an eye on and a ton of prep, the client hardly sees you. Plus has no time to digest their food! Not a great experience for you, or them.
This is all tried and tested and it works. After 19 years, this is the easiest way I have found to do it all. Much love and enjoy this learning xx
Sounds so boring and it's not rocket science, I know, but it's quite a big part of the gig of being a private flight attendant. A ton of damage can be created so so easily, I've learned this the hard way over the years.
I've recorded a little video here for you to get started :)
I'm not gonna bore you to tears with this, but there are certain things you just need to know to avoid damaging anything that will cost a fortune to replace and to ensure you don't miss anything.
I've put together a download to make it as easy as possible.
Trust me, I've had the pickiest aircraft owners that check for dust etc everywhere so I know all of the places they may look! It's the final section.
Once you've learned these cleaning rules and how to avoid the pitfalls, you're now ready to start learning your confidence module which has helped me gain so many roles as to how I handled the difficulties. Let's do this!
Confidence can be very much felt, by us and our clients.....
Navigating mistakes & finding solutions from a confident place becomes far easier. It's really a funny subject, because until we experience what it feels like to operate from this place, we don't even know it's needed. But when you do, you will know! When you have this you really stand out because you will approach things from a solid, confident & calm perspective. You will also feel different to be around (in a good way).
Confidence is a habit of practicing a new way of being. I will be fully explaining this throughout this module and the live coaching so don't worry.
It takes practice simply because we have practiced a different way of being for so long. So because this way of being has often become second nature to us, it feels like this is who we are, but it's not. We may have practiced this for so long that we truly can't remember what it felt like to feel confident.
Like any habit, we need to formulate a new one until it becomes just that, a habit (but a one that serves us well).
We focus on creating your solid foundation so you can operate from an empowered place. From my vast experience, I can attest that the fanciest of skills won't matter unless you have this in place first. In fact it's more important than having the best skills & we will look at examples to demonstrate this.
The energy you project from the start will influence the success of the flight. It's huge, yet so subtle. Energy speaks first and when we align with our own heart centred energy, we need worry about NOTHING, because every response from this solid place is the right one.
This module is a mixture of downloads for you to keep so you can practice. We will go through the techniques and how to put this into practice in various scenarios which we will cover in the live session.
We can't stop unforeseen events, but how we deal with them is absolutely key. We can respond rather than react (reacting is a stress response and we want to be able to counterract this) which helps us to respond from an empowered place, not a place of fear.
Do hope you will enjoy this module and I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts.....
